With Japan suffering multiple earthquakes and tsunamis today many of us are wondering what we can do to help. I've put together a list of organizations and websites that will help the people of Japan and others in the Pacific. The need is money, not goods. Please donate what you can to help survivors of this very large disaster.
Charitable Resources:
- American Red Cross
- Save The Children
- International Medical Corps
- Global Giving Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund
- Salvation Army
- World Vision Children's Charity
- Convoy of Hope
- AmeriCares
- Oxfam America

Please Donate Cash
Patrick Rooney, executive director of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, recommends giving "...money, not food, water and clothes. There's a much higher shipping cost for supplies and it's easier for disaster organizations to get cash and use it as they need to."
Remember to check the authenticity of the web site before donating online.
Let's do what we can to help. The need is going to be deep.
Thanks-
Tom
